Abstract:
Provided are a measurement method and a measurement device with which the viscoelasticity of a substance can be measured even if the amount thereof is very small. The method involves: placing a solution-form or semisolid-form substance to be measured in contact with the electrode(s) of a sensor which is made up of a quartz-crystal oscillator; measuring the amount of change (ΔFs) in the resonance frequency (Fs) of the quartz-crystal oscillator, and the amount of change (ΔFw) in the half-value half frequency ((F1-F2)/2) found from a first frequency (F1) and a second frequency (F2) that give the half conductance (1/2Gmax), which is half the conductance (Gmax) at the resonance frequency (Fs); and finding the storage modulus (G') of said substance on the basis of the difference between the square of the amount of change (ΔFs) in the resonance frequency and the square of the amount of change (ΔFw) in the half-value half frequency, and/or finding the loss modulus (G'') of said substance on the basis of the product of the amount of change (ΔFs) in the resonance frequency and the amount of change (ΔFw) in the half-value half frequency.
