Abstract:
This method for measuring the volume of a minute protrusion is provided with: a step of measuring the three-dimensional shape of the minute protrusion using white light interferometry (S102); a step of comparing the height at which the first peak in an interfering light intensity envelope is detected, with the height of a reference surface, and extracting the part that is higher than the reference surface as a protrusion apex portion of the minute protrusion (S103); a step of detecting the height of the extracted protrusion apex portion (S104); a step of detecting, as a diameter, one of the lateral dimension, the longitudinal dimension or the average of the lateral dimension and the longitudinal dimension of a circumscribed rectangle of a region comprising the protrusion apex portion and a part that is at a different height to the reference surface and encloses the protrusion apex portion or touches the protrusion apex portion (S105); and a step of calculating the volume of the minute protrusion on the basis of the height and the diameter of the protrusion apex portion (S106).
