Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a glass with a high bubble quality having less bubbles. The present invention relates to a method for melting glass material in which glass material particles produced by granulating a glass material containing a plurality of components are used, and when melting the glass material by sending the glass material particles into a heated gas phase atmosphere, sends the glass material particles into the heated gas phase atmosphere together with at least either one of a helium gas or a neon gas.
