Abstract:
A method for modifying micropore molecular sieves of silicoaluminum phosphate by using metals is provided. The said method comprises mixing the powder of molecular sieves of silicoaluminum phosphate, such as SAPO-34, with a compound of alkaline earth (Ca, Sr or Ba) and/or transition metal (Cu or Zn), by using immersion method or mechanical grinding method. The modified molecular sieve can be used as catalyst for converting oxygenate feeds into olefins, which has a higher initial selectivity for low carbon olefins than unmodified molecular sieves.
