Abstract:
A curved wall surface in a central region of spiral of a spiral body, which has a fixed scroll element or a movable scroll element, of a scroll compressor is molded by the various steps of setting an outer wall changing poing G on first polar coordinates X, Y having a first origin O_; drawing a circle Cs having the first origin O_ as the center, with a radius e_ of revolution of the movable scroll element used as the diameter; setting a contact point P at a desired contact angle beta on the circle Cs; connecting the contact point P and first origin O_ to each other by a straight line m_; drawing a normal I through the outer wall changing point G at a predetermined angle alpha with respect to the axis X; determining an intersection C of the straight line m_ and normal I; and determining a part of a central curve, which smoothly passes the outer wall changing point G and contact point P with an outer wall cruve smoothly connected at the outer wall changing point G, on second polar coordinates having the intersection C as a second origin, whereby a clearance in a final compression process is set to substantially zero to enable the performance of the compressor to be improved, i.e. an increase in the compression efficiency and the reduction of vibration and noise to be attained, the reliability of an operation of the compressor to be improved, and the torque variation in a case where the outer diameter of the compressor is set uniform to be reduced.
