Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for monitoring a first brake (109) of a car (103) of an elevator system (100), wherein the first brake (109) of the car (103) is triggered (205) when a triggering condition occurs, wherein, after the first brake (109) has been triggered, an acceleration variable is monitored (207), which depends on an acceleration of the car (103), and a second brake (110) of the car (103) is triggered (209) in dependence on a comparison of the acceleration variable with at least one specified threshold value.
