Abstract:
The invention concerns a device for monitoring and, if necessary, replacing travellers on the rings of a ring-spinning machine. The device has a sensor (13) which detects the presence of a traveller (5) on its ring (4). The presence of travellers (5) is monitored over a given number of spinning points. If a predetermined traveller failure rate is exceeded, the device generates a signal after whose reception the replacement of the traveller is initiated.
