Abstract:
A method of mounting an axle module formed by vertically joining an axle member to a pair of leaf springs in the same state as an actually used state. With the axle member placed on a work table, pins are passed through the mounting holes of the right and left leaf springs for mounting the right and left leaf springs on a vehicle body before U-bolts for mounting the leaf springs on the axle member. Also, the axle member is formed to be horizontally movable, with a small force, relative to the leaf springs within a specified area. In addition, a tightening tool mounted on a carriage is moved to the tip lower position of the U-bolt to be tightened, and a socket fitted to the tightening tool is raised and rotated to tighten a nut to the U-bolt.
