Abstract:
A method for mounting a protective fabric cover at an air inlet of an aircraft engine, comprising the following steps: a. inflating a protective fabric cover; b. the protective fabric cover supporting a certain prefabricated outer shape to reach a mounting strength; and c. mounting the protective fabric cover to a cowling of an air inlet of an engine. Said method improves the traditional protective fabric cover mounting method which requires multiple persons for operation, uses a mounting ladder, and consumes much time for mounting, the protective fabric cover is mounted in an inflating manner, so that the mounting process is simplified, the use of installation ladder is omitted, and an operator quickly completes the mounting, thereby reducing labor intensity, saving manpower, and improving efficiency.
