Abstract:

A method of reducing/regenerating oil or preventing the oxidization/degeneration thereof uses an electrolytic bath (13) having an anode (11) and a cathode (12)consisting of a hydrogen storage material and being partitioned in the interior thereof into an electrolytic chamber (13A) and a reduction chamber (12A) by this cathode (12), and applies a voltage between the anode (11) and the cathode (12) to electrolyze an electrolyte supplied into the electrolytic chamber (13A) while supplying oil to the reduction chamber (12A) to occlude hydrogen generated from the cathode (12) part of the electrolytic chamber (13A) by the cathode (12) and reduce the oil in the reduction chamber (12A), whereby the method ensures a continuous treatment.
