Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for operating a bending press, especially a folding bending press (2), and to a bending press for carrying out this method. For each drive (30) of a drive arrangement (27), the actual pressing force is determined for an adjustable pressing beam (15, 16) during a workpiece forming operation and a position of the pressing tool(s) in relation to the longitudinal extension of the pressing beams (15, 16) is determined from a ratio of forces. Different adjustment paths of the drives (30) or the adjustable pressing beam (15, 16) are then determined at the respective working point of the drive (30) in an evaluating and/or calculating unit (57) which is provided with a data memory (56) for production and machine data, corresponding control signals are generated in the control device (49) for the drive arrangement (27) and adjusting elements (31) of the drives (30) are adjusted by the adjustment paths determined for each drive (30).
