Abstract:
Provided is a method for operating a fuel gas manufacturing device, which stops the operation in a manner that the operation can be quickly restarted while preventing complication of a facility. When stopping the operation by stopping the supply of source gas to a desulfurizer 3, standby operation processing is performed in which: after the supply of source gas to the desulfurizer 3 and the discharge of fuel gas G to the outside are stopped, the fuel gas G is circulated and fluidized such that the total amount of the fuel gas G having passed through a moisture remover H is returned to the desulfurizer 3 through a circulating gas passage R; the fuel gas G is circulated and fluidized by a circulating drive unit 7 in a manner that the fuel gas G to be circulated and fluidized is heated by a heater to a set standby temperature in order to heat a modifier 5 to a temperature corresponding to an operation temperature for modification treatment; and the supply of moisture vapor J is continued in a manner that the supply amount of the moisture vapor J is set to be equal to or larger than the supply amount that can prevent precipitation of carbon by pyrolytic decomposition of the fuel gas G and smaller than the supply amount for the modification treatment.
