Abstract:
Provided is a method for operating a lean-fuel suction gas turbine engine in a stable manner by controlling the rotational frequency of the lean-fuel suction gas turbine engine, for which it is difficult to control the rotational frequency by controlling the flow volume of the fuel. In this method for operating a lean-fuel suction gas turbine engine (GT) that uses the flammable component contained in a low-concentration methane gas as fuel to drive an electrical generator, a power conversion device (17) is interposed between an external electrical power system (19) and the electrical generator (11), and the rotational frequency of the electrical generator (11) is controlled by the power conversion device (17), thereby controlling the rotational frequency of the gas turbine engine (GT).
