Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a method for operating a natural gas liquefaction device stably and efficiently in accordance with changes in meteorological conditions. [Solution] A method for operating a natural gas liquefaction device 1 equipped with refrigerant compressors 35 and 36 which are used when liquefying natural gas, and a plurality of air-cooled heat exchangers 2 for cooling the compressed refrigerant, wherein: in an analysis process P1, a predicted value for the temperature of cooling air is determined by numerical analysis, by taking into account a case in which exhaust air discharged from the air-cooled heat exchangers 2 is again taken in, under a condition in which the air temperature, wind direction, and wind speed at the site where the natural gas liquefaction device 1 is installed are changed; in a meteorological data acquisition process P2, meteorological data related to the air temperature, wind direction, and wind speed at the site is acquired; and in determination processes P3–P5, a load change for the compressors 35 and 36 is predicted on the basis of the predicted value for the temperature of the cooling air corresponding to the meteorological data and a plant operation state obtained using the predicted value, and a determination regarding the necessity of adjusting the operation of the natural gas liquefaction device 1 is made.
