Abstract:
During the operation of a stacking device (03) with a first and a second stack delivery (I, II) in the transport direction (T), in which a first braking device (48; 49) is provided in the transport path of sheets (B) which are conveyed by a conveyor system (21) along a transport direction (T) in the entry region of the first stack delivery (I), and in which a second braking device (49) is provided in the input area of the second stack delivery (II), the sheets to be printed (B), which come into the first braking device (48; 49), come in a form- or friction-locking operative contact with an active surface (112) of a holding means (92) comprised by the braking device (48; 49). The active surface (112) coming into operative contact with the sheet to be printed (B) is moved forcibly by a drive (106) in the transport direction (T), and, in a first operating mode (m1) during a form- or friction-fit interaction between the sheet (B) and the active surface (112), a speed (v92) for the movement of the active surface (112) is reduced from a first speed (vein) to a comparatively lower stacking speed (vab). The first braking device (48; 49) is operated in a second operating mode (m2) for a subsequently incoming sheet (B) that is to be deposited on a stack (12) of the second stack delivery (II), in which the active surface (112) is moved for at least the entire duration of the existing form- or friction-fit operative contact with a speed (v92) between the respective sheet (B) and the active surface (112), said speed corresponding approximately, i.e. with a deviation of ± 10 %, to the current conveying speed (v32) of the conveyor system (21).
