Abstract:
The present invention concerns a method of operating a touch screen device (10), in particular a mobile telephone or a portable computer. The method comprises the steps of: displaying an operational object (20) on a display unit (12) of the touch screen device (10); displaying a feedback indicator (30) on the display unit (12) of the touch screen device (10); detecting a user input by means of a touch-sensitive area on the touch screen device (10), the touch-sensitive area being associated with the operational object (20); and in response to the user input, moving the feedback indicator (30) along a movement path on the display unit to give a dynamically progressing visual feedback of the user input to the user of the touch screen device (10). In this way a particularly intuitive visual feedback is achieved which reduces or eliminates disturbances or irritations to the user of the touch screen device.
