Abstract:
A method for operating an ultrasound observation device according to the present invention in which an ultrasonic signal acquired by an ultrasonic probe is corrected in an ultrasound observation device that receives the ultrasonic signal, the ultrasonic probe comprising an ultrasonic transducer that transmits ultrasonic waves to a subject being observed and receives ultrasonic waves backscattered by the subject being observed, wherein the method comprises a correction step for correcting ultrasound data based on the ultrasonic signal by using: first reference data for model difference correction reflecting the model difference, which is a difference due to models of ultrasonic probes being connected to an ultrasound observation device of the same model; and second reference data for individual difference correction reflecting an individual difference, which is a difference due to an individual ultrasonic probe of the same model being connected to an ultrasound observation device of the same model.
