Abstract:
Disclosed is a 5G or pre-5G communication system for supporting a data transmission rate higher than that of a 4G communication system, such as LTE, and subsequent systems. The present invention provides a method for operating a wireless LAN system and a device for the same. The method according to the present invention comprises the steps of: setting, by a terminal, a channel occupancy period on the basis of information of a first transmission opportunity section of a wireless LAN access point acquired through a base station and monitoring a channel during the set channel occupancy period, when the use of a frame requested to be transmitted/being transmissible between the wireless LAN access point serving the terminal and the base station serving the terminal through a cellular network is determined; and receiving, from the wireless LAN access point, the transmissible frame which is a response to the frame requested to be transmitted, resetting the channel occupancy period on the basis of information, which is included in the transmissible frame, of a second transmission opportunity section, and transmitting and receiving the wireless LAN access point and data during the reset channel occupancy period.
