Abstract:
The present application provides a method for path detection in a VxLAN, and a controller and network device. According to a detection request, the controller constructs a detection message and sends same to a source network device corresponding to a source VxLAN tunnel endpoint; the source network device progressively forwards said detection message to a destination network device corresponding to a destination VTEP, and reports to the controller such information as IP address, outbound interface number, and inbound interface number, such that the actual service path may be detected.
