Abstract:
The embodiments of the invention provide a method of performing a process for a voice service terminal and a device utilizing the same, and a communication system. The method comprises: radio access network (RAN) equipment actively redirects a voice service terminal, and releases a radio resource control (RRC) connection of the terminal, and during a release procedure, instructs core network (CN) equipment to retain a guaranteed bitrate (GBR) bearer of the voice service terminal. Since a bearer type of a voice over internet protocol (VOIP) service is a GBR bearer, a VOIP service bearer will not be released. As the terminal accesses the network again, the CN equipment can use the GBR bearer directly to recover a voice service, preventing from a voice service interruption owing to releasing a radio bearer of a VOIP service in a redirecting procedure, reducing a call drop rate, and enhancing user experience.
