Abstract:

The present invention relates to a method for the plasmic welding of metals using a direct-polarity straight electrical arc. This method uses as plasma generating medium the water vapour instantaneously formed in the burner under the action of the thermal energy emitted by the pilot arc on the anode nozzle. The plasmic flow thus generated may be controlled by changing the pilot arc intensity.
