Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for playing a video ring back tone, used for initiating an audio call, so as to realize a video ring back tone playing function. The method comprises: a calling user equipment initiating an audio call to a called user equipment; the calling user equipment receiving, after completing audio ring back tone media negotiation with a ring back tone platform according to the audio call, video ring back tone media negotiation information sent by the ring back tone platform; if the calling user equipment supports video ring back tone media, the calling user equipment performing video media negotiation according to the video ring back tone media negotiation information and media capability information about the calling user equipment, and determining a video media negotiation result; and the calling user equipment sending the video media negotiation result to the ring back tone platform, wherein the video media negotiation result is used for the ring back tone platform to play a video ring back tone.
