Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for predicting the life of corrosion-resistant steel for desulfurization equipment, comprising: a preparation step for loading a specimen inside a chamber; a hot-air injection step for allowing hot air to pass through the chamber; a sulfuric-acid spraying step for spraying a sulfuric acid solution into the chamber; a water spraying step for spraying water into the chamber; and a corrosion-life prediction step for measuring the decrease in weight of the specimen, thereby predicting the corrosion life thereof, wherein the sulfuric acid solution in the sulfuric-acid spraying step comprises 5-20 vol% of sulfuric acid, and 80-95 vol% of water. According to the present invention, it is possible to quantitatively measure the corrosion life of corrosion-resistant steel in desulfurization equipment by sufficiently reflecting, differently from a conventional simple dipping test, various corrosion elements such as the operation and stoppage state of desulfurization equipment, the location of steel in desulfurization equipment, the flow rate of sulfuric acid air, temperature and the like.
