Abstract:
Provided is a method for predicting the lifespan characteristic of a secondary battery including a carbon-based hybrid anode, the method comprising the steps of: during charging and discharging of a target secondary battery including a target carbon-based hybrid anode including a carbon-based anode active material and a non-carbon-based anode active material, measuring the grid spacing (d-spacing) of the carbon-based anode active material of the target carbon-based hybrid anode by using an X-ray diffractometer to plot a graph showing changes in a grid spacing value relative to a charge/discharge capacity (X-axis); calculating a target slope difference, which is a difference in slope values that change at an inflection point of the graph in the plotted graph while a discharging proceeds; comparing the target slope difference with a reference slope difference which is a difference in slope values that change at an inflection point in the graph showing changes in a grid spacing value relative to a charge/discharge capacity (X-axis) of a reference secondary battery; and predicting, from the comparison result, whether the lifespan characteristic of the target secondary battery has been improved compared to the reference secondary battery.
