Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for predicting the wear amount of a chain pin by using friction noise generated by the friction between a roller and a sprocket groove when a roller chain rotates while engaged with the sprocket groove. The method for predicting the wear amount of a chain pin of a roller chain by using friction noise, according to an embodiment of the present invention, measures the wear amount of a chain pin of a roller chain while the roller chain is driven by the rotating power of a sprocket, and comprises the steps of allowing: a noise sensing unit to sense the surrounding noise of the roller chain; a sound source separation unit to separate the friction noise between the roller of the roller chain and a tooth profile of the sprocket from the sensed surrounding noise of the chain; and a sound source analysis unit to predict the wear amount of the chain pin by using the separated friction noise between the roller and the tooth profile.
