Abstract:

The present invention provides a novel method for preparing [1,2,3]-oxathiazolidine-2,2-dioxide or [1,2,5]-thiadiazolidine-1,1-dioxide derivatives. According to the manufacturing method of the present invention, it is possible to conveniently and effectively prepare enantiomerically pure [1,2,3]-oxathiazolidine-2,2-dioxide or [1,2,5]-thiadiazolidine-1,1-dioxide derivatives by asymmetric reduction of 5H-[1,2,3]-oxathiazole-2,2-dioxide or [1,2,5]-thiadiazoline-1,1-dioxide in the presence of a rhodium compound catalyst and a hydrogen donor.
