Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for preparing 3-chloropivalic acid, specifically a method for preparing 3-chloropivalic acid by using 3-chloro-2-methylpropene and carbon monoxide as raw materials. The product is prepared by subjecting the raw materials of 3-chloro-2-methylpropene and carbon monoxide to copolymerization in the presence of a hydrated strong acid catalyst, followed by purification by ether to obtain a fine 3-chloropivalic acid product with a purity of 99% or higher. The method has a high conversion rate, a high yield, few by-products, and simple product post-processing, and is in line with the green economy concept of recycling.
