Abstract:
The embodiment of the present invention relates to the field of the synthesis of mercapto compounds, in particular to a method for preparing 3-mercaptopropionic acid. The preparation method provided in the present invention comprises: mixing sodium acrylate and sodium hydrosulfide or sodium sulfide and reacting same; adding sodium sulfide (or adding sodium sulfide and a sulfur powder) and continuing to react same; and crystallizing same, and acidifying same by adding an acid, so as to obtain a 3-mercaptopropionic acid solution. In the preparation method provided in the present invention, the raw materials are cheap, the yield of 3-mercaptopropionic acid is high, the purity of 3-mercaptopropionic acid is high, and solid waste and a solvent can be separated and recovered, a sodium salt is used as an industrial product after crystallization, and the solvent is recovered by distillation and recycled, such that said three types of waste are easily disposed of.
