Abstract:
A method for preparing an α-Al2O3 carrier, comprising: a) kneading an aluminum source with an auxiliary and a binder; b) extruding the kneaded product into cylindrical strips; c) carrying out pelletization and rounding, to obtain balls; and d) carrying out drying and calcination, to obtain finished α-alumina balls, wherein the aluminum source comprises monohydrate diaspore and pseudoboehmite and optionally gibbsite. The α-alumina carrier obtained by this method has improved overall strength, and an obtained palladium catalyst has high activity and selectivity.
