Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for preparing an amidopolyamine or imidazoline-type asphalt additive, and an asphalt additive composition prepared thereby. An asphalt additive composition according to one embodiment of the present invention is generated by reacting a polyamine with: a fatty acid ester generated by the esterification of a natural unsaturated fatty acid and a hydroxy fatty acid; or a condensed fatty acid generated by the condensation of hydroxy fatty acids. According to the present invention, if an asphalt mixture is used, the mixability of aggregate and asphalt and the compaction and water resistance of the asphalt mixture are improved, and thus it can be expected that productivity during road pavement work using the asphalt mixture is improved and the performance of a road is improved.
