Abstract:

A method for preparing bis(cyclopentadienyl)ruthenium involving a step of reacting cyclopentadiene, ruthenium chloride and a zinc powder in an alcohol solvent, to synthesize bis(cyclopentadienyl)ruthenium, characterized in that it comprises mixing cyclopentadiene and the zinc powder in the alcohol solvent, and then adding ruthenium chloride in installments while maintaining the temperature of the reaction system at -70 to 20°C; and the method further comprising sublimating the bis(cyclopentadienyl)ruthenium product synthesized in the above synthesis step under a reduced pressure, to prepare a high purity product.
