Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for preparing boron trifluoride (BF3) gas, which is achieved by performing pyrolysis by heating one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of LiBF4, KBF4, NaBF4, and HBF4, followed by separating the compounds. The heating is performed using an electric furnace, gas flame, or plasma. If an electric furnace is used, an indirect heating mode can be applied. If a gas flame or plasma is used, both direct and indirect heating modes can be applied.
