Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for preparing butadiene with excellent catalyst reproducibility and, more specifically, to a method for preparing butadiene with excellent catalyst reproducibility, the method comprising: a reaction step for introducing reactants comprising butene, oxygen, nitrogen, and steam as constitutional components into a reactor charged with a metal oxide catalyst to perform an oxidative dehydrogenation reaction at a reaction temperature of 300-450℃; a first cooling step for, after the reaction step, maintaining the supply of the reactants within a range in which each of the constitutional components has a flow rate change of less than ±40% or stopping only the supply of butene among the reactants, and then cooling the reactor to a range of equal to or lower than 200℃ and higher than 70℃; and a second cooling step for, after the first cooling step, stopping the supply of the reactants or at least the supply of butene among the reactants, and then cooling the reactor to 70℃ or lower. According to the present invention, when an oxidative dehydrogenation reaction is stopped due to the need to stop the operation of a reaction process, the inactivation of a catalyst, which may occur at the time of subsequent reoperation, is prevented, thereby reducing the operation time and the cost loss.
