Title:
METHOD FOR PREPARING CARBON NANOTUBE HOLLOW FIBER MEMBRANE ON LARGE SCALE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/131436
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the technical field of membranes. Disclosed is a method for preparing a carbon nanotube hollow fiber membrane on a large scale. The method comprises: putting carbon nanotubes into a solution mixture of concentrated nitric acid and concentrated sulfuric acid, maintaining the temperature at 40-80°C for 0.5-6 h, taking the carbon nanotubes out; dispersing the acidified carbon nanotubes and polyvinyl butyral into an organic solvent to prepare a membrane casting solution; feeding the membrane casting solution and water simultaneously through a spinning head of a spinning machine with the membrane casting solution being used as a shell liquid and the water being used as a core liquid, spinning into a water coagulating bath in a manner that the ratio of the shell liquid flow rate to the core liquid flow rate is 0.5-5:1, the carbon nanotubes, the polyvinyl butyral and the organic solvent being in a weight ratio of 1:0.2-1:4-8; and performing calcination under oxygen-free conditions at 600-1200°C for 1-4 h, so as to obtain the carbon nanotube hollow fiber membrane. The present invention has a simple preparation process, does not require expensive devices and agents, has low cost, does not need templates, has a high efficiency, and can be used for large scale production; the prepared hollow fiber membrane has high porosity and flux, and is acid-resistant, alkali-resistant and electrically conductive.
