Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for preparing aldehydes or ketones by oxidizing alcohol. Alcohol is oxidized into an aldehyde or ketone by using water as a solvent, using hydrated ferric nitrate (Fe(NO3)39H2O), 4-hydroxy-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine oxide (4-OH-TEMPO) and carboxylic acid as catalysts, and using oxygen or air as an oxidizing agent. Compared with the prior art, in the present invention, water is used as the solvent, the use of contaminating halogenated hydrocarbons or strong carcinogen sodium nitrite (NaNO2) is avoided, the present invention is more environmentally friendly, the cost is also greatly reduced, and the present invention relates to a method suitable for industrial production.
