Abstract:
A method for preparing composite fine particles from a polymer material and a core substance, which comprises a step of dissolving and dispersing a polymer material or a core substance, respectively, in a high pressure fluid containing a supercritical fluid and an added solvent, by the application of a shear stress of 1 Pa or more; and, a step of spraying out the high pressure fluid containing said supercritical fluid and said added solvent into a poor solvent, to thereby effect rapid expansion. The method can be suitably used for preparing composite fine particles having a size being uniform and of a few micrometers or less, preferably a nanometer size (a size of 1 μm or less).
