The present invention relates to: a method for preparing a copolymer, comprising a step (S10) of polymerizing by injecting an aromatic vinyl-based monomer and a vinylcyan-based monomer in the presence of a polymerization initiator, wherein the polymerization initiator comprises two or more different kinds of polymerization initiators, and a part or the whole of the aromatic vinyl-based monomer is continuously divided and injected during the polymerizing in the step (S10); a copolymer prepared thereby; and a thermoplastic resin composition comprising same.
