Abstract:
Provided is a method for preparing glucosamine by using shrimp and crab shells as raw materials. Said method comprises the following steps: extracting chitin from shrimp and crab shells, modifying chitin with a hydroxypropylation reagent, then obtaining a two-stage hydrolyzate of chitin by means of a two-stage hydrolysis, and subjecting the two-stage hydrolyzate of chitin to concentration, suction filtration and drying in sequence so as to obtain glucosamine. A two-stage hydrolysis is performed after modifying chitin by means of the hydroxypropylation reagent in the method to increase the water solubility of chitin, so that the hydrolysis rate in the conversion of macromolecular polysaccharides in chitin to glucosamine is increased, thereby increasing the yield of the final product glucosamine in the process of using shrimp and crab shells as raw materials to prepare glucosamine.
