Abstract:
A method for preparing a graphene-reinforced titanium-based nanocomposite material via titanium hydride, comprising the following steps: (1) powder mixing: jointly placing titanium hydride powder and graphene powder according to a certain ratio into a ball mill tank for ball milling and material mixing, and mixing evenly to produce a composite powder; (2) blank pressing: making the composite powder in step (1) into a prefabricated body by means of bold isostatic treatment; (3) dehydrogenation: placing the prefabricated body in step (2) into a vacuum furnace for heating and dehydrogenation and, when dehydrogenated, naturally cooling with the furnace to room temperature to produce a blank material; and (4) sintering: sintering the dehydrogenated blank material by employing a spark plasma sintering (SPS) technique to produce a finished product, the graphene-reinforced titanium-based nanocomposite material. The method avoids the direct use of titanium powder, prevents a reaction between titanium and graphene during the powder mixing process, and ensures that the nanocomposite material so prepared has great performance.
