Abstract:
Provided is a method for preparing high-purity lithium carbonate from brine. According to the present invention, the method for preparing lithium carbonate from brine is characterized by comprising the steps of: removing magnesium ions from brine; adsorbing lithium ions by introducing an adsorbent into the brine from which the magnesium ions were removed, and then desorbing the lithium ions by introducing the adsorbent having the adsorbed lithium ions into a strong acid solution; concentrating the strong acid solution in which the lithium ions are desorbed; and enabling the lithium ions contained in the concentrated solution to chemically react with carbonate precursors to obtain lithium carbonate.
