Abstract:
A method for preparing a hydrogen storage alloy having body-centered cubic structure phase being capable of absorbing and releasing hydrogen, characterized in that it comprises a melting step of melting raw materials for the alloy having a predetermined element ratio to form a homogeneous melt of an alloy, a heat treatment step of holding the homogeneous alloy melt at a temperature (T) a little lower than the melting point (Tm) of the alloy for a predetermined period of time, and a quenching step of rapidly cooling the heat-treated alloy.
