Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for preparing an intestinal organoid, the method comprising a step of sub-culturing enteric nervous system (ENS) cells in the presence of at least one of a bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) and hedgehog (HH) to induce the growth of the enteric nervous system. An intestinal organoid prepared according to the present invention is very similar to the actual intestines in the body of an adult in terms of actual functionalities, such as nutrient and drug absorption functions, mucus secretion, and hormone secretion, and thus can be applied for various uses such as use of drug screening for tissue therapeutic agents or the treatment of intestine-related diseases.
