Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for preparing m-phenylenediamine, comprising the following steps: (1) using meta-xylene as a starting material, preparing isophthalamide; (2) reacting the isophthalamide with hypohalite or halogen in alkaline solvent to prepare and obtain m-phenylenediamine. In comparison with the prior art, the method for preparing m-phenylenediamine of the present invention completely avoids the mixed-acid nitrification process, does not produce waste acid, and the strong explosive compound dinitrobenzene does not appear, thus the invention is safe, clean, and efficient.
