Abstract:

The present invention relates to a method for preparing a modified conjugated diene-based polymer and, more specifically, provides a method for preparing a modified conjugated diene-based polymer, the method comprising the steps of: (S1) polymerizing conjugated diene-based monomers to prepare an active polymer conjugated with an organic metal, in a hydrocarbon solvent, in the presence of an organometallic compound; and (S2) mixing the active polymer prepared in step (S1) and a denaturant, wherein the mixing in step (S2) is carried out at a Reynolds number of 20 or smaller for one minute or longer while the Reynolds number is maintained within a range of ± 5 of the Reynolds number (provided that the minimum is greater than 0 and the maximum is 20 or smaller) at the feeding of the denaturant.
