Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention is a method for preparing nickel sulfate from low nickel matte. The method comprises: adding a sulfuric acid solution and an oxidizing agent into a low nickel matte crushed material for an acid leaching reaction, controlling the temperature of the reaction, adjusting the pH after the reaction is completed, carrying out solid-liquid separation to obtain a filtrate and a filter residue, then introducing hydrogen sulfide gas into the filtrate, controlling the pH of the filtrate, carrying out solid-liquid separation to obtain a nickel-containing filtrate and a copper sulfide precipitate, and subjecting the nickel-containing filtrate to nickel extraction and back extraction so as to obtain a nickel sulfate solution. The low nickel matte is subjected to atmospheric pressure leaching by using dilute sulfuric acid and the oxidizing agent to obtain elemental sulfur in the present invention, and the problem that sulfur dioxide is generated in the presence of a concentrated sulfuric acid is avoided; and throughout the whole leaching reaction process, nickel, copper, cobalt, etc. are dissolved in a solution, iron, in the form of iron oxide, and elemental sulfur coexist to form a solid, the pH of the nickel-containing filtrate is adjusted, hydrogen sulfide gas is introduced, such that copper ions are precipitated and separated in the form of copper sulfide, and nickel ions and other ions are still retained in the solution. The technological process of the present invention is short, and the leaching rate of the low nickel matte can reach 98% or above.
