Abstract:
A method for preparing oxygen-free passivation titanium and titanium alloy powder product by gas-solid fluidization, relating to the field of powder metallurgy titanium. The present invention provides that gas-solid fluidization is achieved for a metal halide having a low boiling point by means of a fluidized bed, the metal halide is enabled to react with the titanium powder, and an oxygen-free passivation layer having a controllable and even thickness is evenly deposited on the surface of the titanium powder to effectively achieve the low gap control of the titanium powder. At the same time, the generation of gaseous TiX xO y facilitates breaking an oxide film on the surface of the titanium powder, purifying the surface of titanium powder particles, and promoting sintering densification. Moreover, a metal alloy element facilitates achieving further sintering densification or microalloying of a titanium product, thereby improving the comprehensive performance of the titanium product. The use of the fluidized bed in gas-solid fluidization can prevent uneven passivation caused by powder agglomeration and adhesion. The method has no restrictions on the particle size distribution, the shape, and the type of the titanium powder, is widely applied and simple in process, and can be continuously operated in large quantities.
