Abstract:
A method for preparing a quantum dot colour film substrate, and a quantum dot colour film substrate. A method for preparing a quantum dot colour film substrate, comprising: mixing red quantum dot material, green quantum dot material, and a photoinitiator into a thermosetting gel to form a quantum dot gel, the photoinitiator being unable to damage the fluorescent properties of the quantum dots; however, after being irradiated by ultraviolet light, pyrolysis of the photoinitiator occurs such that the photoinitiator has the effect of quenching the quantum dot fluorescence; after the quantum dot gel is evenly coated on a colour filter layer (20), using a light mask (50) to irradiate the quantum dot gel on blue sub-pixel areas, the free radicals generated by the pyrolysis of the photoinitiator directly quenching the quantum dot material in said areas, in order to obtain a selectively quenched quantum dot layer (30); a quantum dot colour film substrate prepared by means of the present preparation method satisfies the colour gamut requirements of a display apparatus, and the method of preparation is simple and low-cost.
