Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for preparing a sample containing a nucleic acid such as a biological sample, which requires no complicated procedure and enables the reduction in an inhibitory activity of an inhibitor for an enzymatic reaction that utilizes the nucleic acid as a substrate in the sample. Also disclosed is a solution for preparing a sample, which can be used in the above-mentioned method. Further disclosed is a method for analyzing a nucleic acid in a sample prepared by the above-mentioned method. The method for preparing a sample containing a nucleic acid can be employed for the collection of a nucleic acid from a sample containing the nucleic acid. The method is characterized by mixing a sample containing a nucleic acid with a solution for preparing a sample, wherein the solution comprises, as an active ingredient, at least one component selected from a group consisting of a polycation and a chelating agent.
