Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for preparing a Chrysanthemum indicum extract which can exhibit anxiety alleviation activity when orally administrated at a dosage of no more than 15mg/weight kg (based on solids in the extract). One embodiment of the manufacturing method comprises the steps of: adsorbing a Chrysanthemum indicum aqueous extract to a porous adsorbant having fine pores onto which a polymer having a molecular weight of at least 1500 and having a hydrophobic group on at least a portion thereof is provided; and collecting a discharged solution by using water as an eluent. Another embodiment of the manufacturing method comprises the steps of: performing solvent fractionation by adding ethyl acetate (EtOAc) to the Chrysanthemum indicum extract; and collecting an aqueous layer during the solvent fractionation.
