Abstract:
Disclosed is a method whereby sugar chains can be prepared from antibodies simply and quickly. In said method, while antibodies bound to an adsorbent such as protein A or protein G, sugar chains are excised from the antibodies, the excised sugar chains are captured on a solid-phase capturing carrier that has functional groups that specifically react with aldehyde groups in the sugar chains to form stable bonds, and then the captured sugar chains are detached again, making it possible to simply and rapidly prepare a sugar-chain sample for use in mass spectrometry, chromatography, electrophoresis, or the like.
